ST. PATRICK'S DAY

Hi everyone!

Lately we've been doing lots of activities related to Saint Patrick's day! 🍀🍀🍀

We worked a little bit on the story The night before Saint Patrick's day by Natasha Wing.

We coloured some little rainbows with our finger!

We also learnt that LEPRECHAUNS love shiny objects ✨ and the colour green so... we decorated some shamrocks and placed them inside a TRAP in order to catch a leprechaun and get his gold!

We were very happy because it actually worked, the leprechaun had left chocolate coins for everyone! 😄

Finally, we danced to a few songs and one day... we even came dressed in green!

CELEBRATING SAINT PATRICK'S DAY

 We had such a great time working on Saint Patrick's Day!! Children just loved it!!

Saint Patrick's Day is held on March 17th, and we have celebrated it at school!

We have decorated our school.

We also played other games: memory, size sorting, which one is different...

We made leprechaun's hats.

We love dancing the "Leprechaun's dance"!

So much fun!!

HI FAMILIES!! HERE WE ARE ALL IN OUR HOMES WITH OUR KIDS AND LOTS OR NONE THINGS TO DO.

Como excepción estos días escribiremos en español, así todo el mundo podrá entender lo que os queremos comunicar. Hoy es un día grande para todos los irlandeses, San Patricio. Nosotras vamos a dar a conocer al Leprechaun, un duendecillo, un tanto codicioso de la tradición irlandesa. La leyenda dice que si atrapas a uno de estos duendes te tendrá que dar su caldero lleno de oro. Nadie sabe dónde está, ni el leprechaun ni el caldero, pues cuentan que lo esconde allí donde acaba el arcoiris. 

A continuación os ponemos unos dibujos animados de la leyenda del leprechaun y un cuento narrado.

CHALLENGE!!! RETO!!!! 

Otro símbolo muy característico de la cultura irlandesa es el SHAMROCK o trébol verde de tres hojas al que se le otorgan connotaciones mágicas, propias de la cultura celta. Durante los días previos al 17 de marzo, las casas y calles se llenan de estas hojas, duendes y color verde (símbolo de Irlanda) además de los colores de su bandera.

 
Os propongo que decoréis las   ventanas de casa con algún motivo irlandés.

Nosotras ya lo hemos hecho!!
